Product Manager
The Product Manager is responsible for the product offering and its development, both online and off, in order to provide end-users with the most suitable products at a competitive price. Reporting to the Retail Business Manager, the Product Manager's mission is to create and design new products in line with co-constructed specifications, to develop the product catalog in line with the market, and to seek out and select partners for production. He is also in charge of the technical and after-sales departments, and is responsible for quality. His duties include product testing and prototyping.
Product development - design, produce and validate new solutions, based on specifications and within deadlines;
- co-construct specifications with marketing and sales, and ensure that our solutions match customer needs and brand positioning;
- ensure technical feasibility and product quality (implementation of prototypes and tests);
work as a team to define deliverables, their complexity and development deadlines; - create product design, explore technical specifications, justify and validate design choices;
- evaluate product modification requests, and implement them if justified.
- take charge of prototype production.
- Support for production sites
Support for production sites - handle technical requests from production sites;
- support the service provider during product upgrades;
- design and provide technical support to suppliers for product manufacturing.
Customer support - Participate in drawing up user and maintenance manuals;
- Participate in the preparation of training manuals.
Technical knowledge and support - Get to know our customers and how they use our products, so as to better anticipate and meet their needs;
- know our competitors and their products (product benchmarking);
- keep abreast of technological developments, so as to offer customers solutions that take account of new developments;
- propose technical solutions adapted to needs, in co-construction with the assistant product manager;
- support and accompany both internal and external issues and requests.
Quality and HSE - ensure that his/her work and the work of his/her team comply with safety, the company's quality and environment system, and the work rules established by the group;
- ensure project management complies with the development process
- defined in the quality system. It also ensures compliance with documentation and recording principles;
- play an active role in the continuous improvement of the company's quality system.
Management - develop employee skills (awareness/training - individual interviews - training needs).
- manage employee activities in line with skills, workloads and deadlines
- disseminate information and lead the team (briefings)
- distribute the workload within his/her area of responsibility, ensuring fairness.
- collect information required for reporting purposes.
- report to line management any points of concern impacting on set objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree level - Business management degree in Engineer
Area of knowledge : - The Product Manager must have a minimum knowledge of photovoltaics;
- The Product Manager must have practical knowledge of product design;
- The Product Manager must have in-depth knowledge of electricity;
- The Product Manager must have in-depth knowledge of B2C marketing;
- The Product Manager must have in-depth knowledge of product quality management;
- Ideally, the Product Manager should have minimal knowledge of construction (carpentry, roofing).
Languages: The Product Manager must have a professional level of English; a third Latin language is a plus.
