EPC Wind Project Manager M/F

 


Under the authority of the EPC Portfolio Manager, the EPC Wind Project Manager is responsible for all people and activities on a construction site from the study phase to the handover with O&M, assuming full responsibility for the technical solution, budget and schedule of works in the investment committee from the EPC side.

Define the technical feasibility of the project

  • Participate in the project's feasibility assessment along with the internal teams.
  • Define the project's requirements (equipment, personnel) with their N+1.
  • Conduct site visits and preparing quotations to establish the budget.
  • Identify technical specifications for RFQ and contracts in coordination with the engineering team (applicable standards, expected deliverables, documentation).
  • Coordinate the design of plans based on defined specifications.
  • Participate in the procurement process along with the procurement department.
  • Initiate purchase requests and contribute to the assembly and argumentation of investment requests.
  • Interface with suppliers, EPCs and service providers to validate technical offers and propose optimized solutions.
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams (e.g., permitting, finance, legal) to ensure technical alignment throughout the project lifecycle. Identify, assess and document technical risks during early project development (e.g., geotechnical, grid connection, constructability, technology fit). Propose mitigation strategies and design adaptations to reduce risk exposure.

Technical and Financial Project Management

  • Define project timelines and key milestones for each phase, ensuring alignment with other internal areas.
  • Prepare and validate project quotations and CAPEX budgets in coordination with the EPC executive team.
  • Identify and manage technical and financial risks, develop mitigation strategies, and track their resolution throughout execution.
  • Prioritize technical interventions based on customer needs, equipment availability, and feasible alternatives.
  • Coordinate commissioning activities and ensure proper documentation and readiness for project handover.
  • Manage contract execution by supporting claims, change orders, and enforcement of contractual obligations.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, subcontractors, and internal departments to ensure alignment and project visibility.
  • Ensure effective waste management, environmental compliance, and sustainable practices on the construction site.

Project Monitoring and Control

  • Monitor field activities to ensure compliance with technical specifications, contract terms, regulatory requirements, and QHSE standards.
  • Track project progress using MS Project or equivalent tools, regularly updating schedules and identifying delays or critical path deviations.
  • Oversee project budgets using cost control tools; monitor incurred costs and forecast completion values to ensure EBITDA and revenue targets are met.
  • Control subcontractor performance and intervention schedules, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Adjust manpower and material resources as needed to meet deadlines, manage deviations, and maintain cost control.
  • Compile and present project progress reports, dashboards, and KPIs to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure all project-related documentation, records, and approvals are maintained for traceability and audit readiness.

Team Leadership & People Management

  • Define and monitor team and individual objectives aligned with project and company goals.
  • Distribute tasks fairly across the team, ensuring balanced workloads and effective use of available skills.
  • Conduct interviews, performance evaluations, and apply recognition or corrective actions when appropriate.
  • Develop team competencies through coaching, training, and performance feedback.
  • Support onboarding of new team members and contribute to succession planning and talent retention.
  • Promote a collaborative, respectful, and inclusive team environment, proactively resolving conflicts and fostering cohesion.

HSE & Compliance

  • Ensure all on-site activities comply with quality, health, safety, and environmental (QHSE) standards and company policies.
  • Work closely with the HSE department to monitor site conditions, conduct toolbox talks, and lead by example in enforcing safety practices.

REQUIREMENTS

 

The ideal candidate will have/ be:

  • Master's degree from an engineering school.
  • Master’s degree in project management or PMP is a plus.
  • At least, 5 years of experience in execution or construction project management.
  • General knowledge in wind energy fields.
  • In-depth knowledge of industrial project construction or the energy sector.
  • Deep understanding of principles of construction contracts.
  • General knowledge of construction law and labor law.
  • In-depth knowledge of hygiene and safety regulations.
  • Proficient in professional English (reading, writing, speaking);
  • Proficiency in office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Project, etc.);
  • Driver's license (B).
