HSE Coordinator M/F
YOUR MISSIONS
Reporting to the Regional HSE Manager, the HSE Coordinator in Tunisia will have the following responsibilities:
- Implement Voltalia’s global HSES policies to both the office workplace and the project sites under development and construction;
- Ensure the HSE&S Regulatory Compliance;
- Ensure compliance with Voltalia Minimum Requirements (VMR), Tunisia labour laws and IFC/EBRD lender standards;
- Coordinate and enforce the HSES Management System at project level;
- Lead site HSE inductions, trainings and weekly toolbox talks;
- Conduct regular HSE inspections and leadership tours; report findings in eGestiona/PLC;
- Support incident reporting, root cause analysis and REX (REturn of Experience) documentation;
- Manage contractor HSE performance, including infraction letters and compliance tracking;
- Support the Africa+ team with monthly reporting, KPI tracking and continuous improvement plans;
- Facilitate emergency preparedness plans and mock drills with local authorities;
- Promote positive HSE culture and visible leadership at site level;
- Develop programs and processes, adapted to the local country context;
- Ensure implementation and operation management guidelines;
- Take responsibility for reviewing and preparing action plans focused on continuous improvement of HSE&S, ensuring compliance with all internal guidelines and policies;
- Provide technical support to local teams through training, technical visits and best practices to achieve the HSE results expected by the company;
- Coordinate the implementation and maintenance of an HSE&S management system, acting as a facilitator for all elements and encouraging discussions among the team;
- Develop and monitor HSE&S indicators, and issue progress reports.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES
- Specialization degree in Health, Safety and Environment discipline;
- Minimum experience of 5 years in project execution, experience in construction or renewable energy projects (EPC/EPCM preferred), is a plus;
- Fluency in English, French and Arabic languages.
KEY SKILLS
- Ability to obtain operations’ team adhesion for implementation of the HSE procedures;
- Strong leadership and ability to enforce HSE&S system implementation, ensuring adherence to safety standards within the perimeter of responsibility;
- Proven ability to adapt to diverse situations and engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders;
- Good interpersonal relationship and teamwork;
- Ability to work under pressure and communicate with both internal and external stakeholders effectively;
- Willing to receive and accept feedback, as well as giving constructive criticism to peers.
